How has your year been, so far? If you are like me I’ve made some real positive progress in learning new guidelines on existing loan programs, readjusting my marketing efforts and re-contacting past customers who might still benefit from my help on their existing mortgage. For me, this year has been a year of adjustments, changes, reflections and reorganization. I find myself looking for new ideas and learning from others on what they are doing to cut back on expenses and keep up loan production.
I would assume that you have undergone the same process in your office and you are also looking for opportunities to listen to others, learn from of our industry’s best and network with those who are doing the right things to keep their companies growing. I want to make sure that you are aware of a great opportunity to do just that at the first NAMB Southeast Convention to be held in New Orleans, August 22-26, 2008.
I am urging everyone I meet to join me and other TNAMB leaders in New Orleans for this NAMB regional event. The theme of the NAMB Southeast Convention is “Renewing, Rebuilding and All That Jazz!” TNAMB is one of the 10 participating Affiliate State Associations who are giving away prizes to those who register early so go online at
NAMB Southeast and register early to be a part of the prize-winning fun! Register before August 1 to receive a discount and book your hotel rooms early to get the best convention rate!
There will be 4 days of FREE NAMB Classes and workshops and break-out sessions hosted by Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae where they will be updating those in attendance on the most recent Conforming Loan guideline changes and how to best get your loans approved. I also noticed some classes on how to grow a mortgage business with some additional niche programs like renovation loans, commercial loans and reverse mortgages. I always look forward to some of the sales tips and motivational speakers at conventions like this.
In today’s market it is essential to keep learning, keep training and keep networking. I also look forward to the 2-day tradeshow at this convention where we will have the opportunity to build new relationships with lenders and investors who are going to help us thrive in this market. See you in New Orleans – August 22-26!
